3rd Race of the Season...

I forgot to post how I did on my 3rd race of the season, Dam 09' in Alamo Height, TX...
1st age group and 5th overall.
Truthfully, I was really happy with it. It did seem a lot easier than Rogue Women's Race but it was also shorter. It was a pool swim and I placed myself a little farther back than I should have. A lot of folks who don't understand the pool set up, probably will place themselves at 1:00/100 meters...trying to be Michael Phelps:) I did have to pass a few folks. The bike was great...right in my back yard. The run was a road/trail run...once again, the park we take our doggy too! I passed quite a few women on the run and very surprised. It was a great race and a lot of fun. I highly recommend the Dam 09 Triathlon for a beginner or someone who is getting ready for an Olympic distance. Great race! This I have decided will be my last triathlon race of the season. I did my 3 for USAT rankings...I am OK with that! I will miss triathlon for the 2008 season but I know that there are good things to come. I would like to do the 1/2 Marathon in SA...the Rock-n-Roll Marathon! That should be fun! Had a good time for 2008...looking forward to 2009:)
