Wow...36 years old!!!
Well, it is the day after my 36th birthday(10-27) and I sit back and reflex on my year. On my birthday, I ran 36 minutes. I didn't have time to run a full 36 minutes, so Chris (my hubby) suggest that I run 18 minutes of my childhood years at home and 18 minutes of my adult years at work. So, I decided to reflected on what I have done in my 36 years of my life.
Each minute of my run, I looked at the clock and figure out where I was at the time...from 0-5...I don't remember much. From 5-10, I was in those young years, trying to figure out who I was. From 11-15, I was in the geeky years...still trying to figure out who I was. At this point, I figure out I either wanted to be a marine biologist or an actress. Time will tell. From 16-19, I was getting the driver licenses, going to college and leaving home. From 20-24, I was going back to live at home, graduate college, do my very first triathlon on a mountain bike. From 25-29, I lived in Minnesota, Mississippi and Texas...living my childhood dream of being a marine mammal trainer. At this time, I also figured out I wanted to do an Ironman before I turned 30. From 30-34, I did 4 Ironmans, numerous 1/2 Ironmans, got married and still living my childhood dream. From 35-36, I am still living my childhood dream, still doing triathlons and loving a man, that I never thought would be in my life...my husband. I look at my 36 years of my life and I am very thankful and very blessed for my each day that I live.
What holds for the 37th year of my life...I will not know until my 38th year rolls around. But with the support of my husband, my family and my amazing friends...it will not matter...I have lived the best 36 years of my life and I will never look back to regret anything.
Maybe I should change my Blog title: "Attitude helps keep life in balance...mind, body and soul."
